Why I want to become a P.E. Teacher
In schooll I loved PE it was always my favorite class. We only got it once a week in Ireland and even some days because of the Irish weather we wouldn't be aloud outside and have to sit inside a class room and do nothing. Also on some occasions when we got to play other students who hated P.E. would bring it down for us who wanted to do well. In Ireland P.E. is not a graded stubect and for me who doesn't like school too much I would have got a good grade in physical education. I want to teach PE in Ireland and make classes more fun where eveybody takes part in and enjoys. I want to teach kids how to learn different games and learn why pyhsical activity is so important. Aslo maybe some day we might change the education system into making PE a graded subject and that everyone has a PE class once everyday.

I also loved PE but went to a private school that was very small. My graduating class was 23 students! Because of that we didn't really have a phys. ed. class. Instead we had about 4 guys in a gym and we would play pick up basketball or toss a football around. Half the time I just left early and went home. We also only got PE once a week. Our reasons for being Phys. Ed. teachers are pretty similar. I also want to show students that phys. ed. can be a fun class for everyone and for it to include everyone as well.
ReplyDeleteI like what you are trying to do for the Phys. Ed. classes in Ireland. I think it is important for students to be exposed to more physical activity all over the world.(but especially in the USA where we have an obesity "epidemic") Like you, I can not wait till I am able to teach Phys. Ed. and help students learn the importance of living an active lifestyle.
